HTML uses RGB (Red Green Blue) color format. Netscape and some other broswers have colors assigned to link, text, bdcolor, and vlink. The normal format is the first two hex digits are red, next two are green and last are blue. Hex works like regular numbers but adds A through F for 10 through 15.
